Where will Brian's crazy antics get him this time?

Quite a Knight!

I now realize why I wasn’t a staunch advocate for the movie’s predecessor, Batman Begins: I didn’t really care about Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, or (shivers) Katie Holmes. And then, Batman’s director, Christopher Nolan, had a genius idea: cast Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Heath Ledger in the sequel. I am a big fan of both Eckhart and Gyllenhaal, and both did a nice job. With great delivery from the late Ledger (it will be nearly impossible to top him as the Joker in the next century), as well as a great pace of dialogue and action, The Dark Knight clearly makes for great times.  There’s nothing bad to say about this sequel, really; the lengthy feature pulls you in for two hours and thirty minutes, and American knows my take on long movies, but it surprisingly passes quickly.

And a quick shout out to Nolan for recasting Cillian Murphy as the Scarecrow! Smart move, sir. Smart move. I would have been irate had it have been someone else beside Blue-eyed Cillian!
